Archival Art Printed and matted by Ashley Taylor-Wrightson.
This piece is called “Bee’utiful Lupine”. I created it with marker, pen, and paint—it’s all about that moment of connection between a bee and a flower, right as the work of pollination begins. The flower here is a lupine, which always makes me think of early summer in New England—bright, hopeful, and alive with motion.
I love the contrast between the delicate petals and the energy of the bee. It’s a little tribute to how hard they work and how beautiful that work can be when we take a second to really see it.
