This piece is called Just Desserts. I created it entirely in pen and ink using stippling—so every shadow, texture, and form is built from tiny dots. I love how that technique mirrors the landscape itself: all these small details coming together to make something vast and grounded.
This is my version of the desert—quiet, a little wild, and full of character. There’s something about the openness and the stark contrast of cacti and empty space that makes it feel honest and unfiltered. “Just Desserts” is a bit of a play on words—because out here, what you see is what you get, and sometimes, that’s exactly enough.
