Archival Art Printed and matted by Ashley Taylor-Wrightson.
This piece is called Turquoise Turn, and it was inspired by a house I stayed in when visiting Taos, New Mexico. I was drawn to the curve of the building and the way the color popped against the landscape—it felt like such a peaceful, sunlit moment. I used watercolor and ink to try and capture that sense of quiet charm and warmth you find in the Southwest.
There’s something really inviting about this scene, like you could just sit down at that little table with a cup of coffee and watch the day go by. It’s a piece about slowing down, noticing color, and letting yourself breathe.
